Monday Mystery Theme - Dogs in Mysteries

In a previous post, I gave the feline the highlight so I thought it only fair that I give the dog (man's best friend) equal time. Here is what I have found about dogs in mysteries.

From Dog Hobbyist - http://www.doghobbyist.com/articles/DogMysteries.html.

From the Cozy Mystery List Blog - http://www.cozy-mystery.com/blog/dogs-can-be-cozy-too-dog-mysteries.html.

From Dena P's Amazon List - http://www.amazon.com/My-Favorite-Dog-Mysteries/lm/12HQBGD52UTLH.

From Williamsburg Regional Library - http://www.wrl.org/bookweb/booklists/dogs.html.

I am sure there are a WHOLE LOTS MORE!! Let me know if you have a favorite one.

You know I love the "Cat who.." mysteries by Lilian Jackson Braun. There are about 29 of them. She had started the 30th..then just disappeared. Well, I think she must have passed away as she was old, but almost a recluse so I have never been able to find out what happened to her.

I like Susan Conant and the bloodhound mysteries of the late Virginia Lanier.

There is a wonderful collection of "dog" short stories written by several authors - J.A. Jance, Carole Nelson Douglas were two of the authors. I can't remember the name of the collection though.

Thanks for the latest update Alice. I've read several series by J.A.Jance but have not read any short stories. I will have to keep my eyes open.
